Mr. Graves represents companies in intellectual
property, business and entertainment cases, including cases involving patent infringement, trademark infringement, copyright
infringement, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and business torts. He is recognized
by his peers as a preeminent intellectual property litigator, as shown by his selection as one of southern California’s
“Super Lawyers” every year from 2004 through 2007. His past and present clients include Stamps.com Inc.,
Web.com, Inc., 3D Systems, Inc., Giant Studios, Inc., and other companies and individuals in a variety of different fields
and industries.
Mr. Graves is a 1990 graduate of Columbia Law School,
where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and clerked for the Honorable Andrew J. Kleinfeld on the U.S. Court of Appeals
for the Ninth Circuit, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska.

leading provider of Internet-based postage, in three patent infringement suits:
- Currently representing Stamps.com in a patent infringement suit involving digital
signature and encryption technology.
- Currently
representing Stamps.com in a patent infringement suit involving Internet postage technology, in which eleven patents are at
issue.
- Previously represented Stamps.com in a patent infringement
suit involving two-dimensional bar code technology, which settled in 2006.
- In addition, currently representing Stamps.com in a trademark opposition proceeding.
- Representing Web.com, Inc., a major web hosting company, in three litigation
matters in California.
- Representing
Tofasco of America, Inc. in patent litigation in California.
- Representing Mind Wurx, LLC in litigation involving patent infringement, contract and business tort claims
involving an anti-theft system for shopping carts.

Albert Choi in patent litigation in California.

3D Systems, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of rapid prototyping systems, in several patent infringement suits
in California and Texas.
- Represented
Giant Studios, Inc., the developer of motion capture technology used in the “Lord of the Rings” motion pictures,
in a breach of contract action involving rights in the technology. Tried the case to a jury and obtained a verdict in
favor of Giant Studios, as well as an award of all of Giant’s attorneys’ fees.
- Represented King’s Manufacturing Co. Ltd., a Hong Kong manufacturer of
consumer electronics products, in a trade dress and unfair competition suit against an importer of knock-off products.
Subsequently represented King’s in connection with enforcement of its rights against a variety of infringing distributors.
- Represented JAMDAT Mobile Inc. (now EA Mobile),
the country’s premier wireless game developer, in various trademark infringement and dilution suits, as well as in an
anti-cybersquatter proceeding before the World Intellectual Property Organization. Also represented JAMDAT in various
copyright infringement disputes with producers and distributors of wireless video games.
- Represented Laerdal Medical A.S., a medical device manufacturer, and its U.S.
subsidiary in a patent, trademark and copyright infringement suit.
- Represented Broadspire Services, Inc. in a trademark infringement and dilution suit.
- Represented Platinum Equity LLC, one of the country’s
largest private equity holding companies, in a trademark infringement and dilution suit.
- Represented Arrowhead Products, Inc., a manufacturer of components for military
aircraft and the Space Shuttle, in a copyright infringement and breach of contract suit against a vendor of enterprise resource
software.
- Represented Ceragem International,
Inc., a distributor of high-end thermal massage systems, in a patent infringement suit.
- Represented ABDOER International, Inc., a distributor of exercise devices,
in a breach of contract suit involving rights in a popular abdominal exercise device.
- Represented John Abdo, the inventor of one of the most successful exercise
devices in history, in a patent ownership and inventorship suit against a major fitness equipment manufacturer.
- Represented STC Provision, a manufacturer of
mobile surveillance systems, in a patent infringement dispute with a competitor.
- Represented FW Omnimedia Corp. and its U.S. subsidiary in a trademark infringement suit against Toyota.
- Represented alleged software pirates in two
separate copyright and trademark infringement suits filed by Microsoft.
- Represented Hilton Hotels Corporation in a copyright infringement suit.
- Represented Eisai Co., Ltd. in a trademark registration opposition proceeding.
- Represented a medical practice management software
provider in a suit for copyright infringement and unfair competition against a competitor and former employees.
- Represented Terri Mitchell, a developer of dietary
supplements, in a “cyber-libel” and false advertising suit involving nutritional supplements containing resveratrol.
